I would like to wish 'PEACE' !

If there is only one chance you can tell your wish, what would you wish for this world? Would you like to wish fortune, fame, or the technology for long life? For me, I would like 

                                                           to wish ‘peace’!!! 

 

The whole world is being settled as a world-comprised organization, so- called ‘global village’.

Because of the globalization, all the events and competitions between countries such as Olympic, trade... take place more frequently. Therefore, socializing between people from different countries became natural these days. This is such a pleasant phenomenon. For the people in this world make the society of cooperation beyond their races, and nationalities.

However, we can also find many problems. There are many people suffer from famines, starving, and wars. The war of Cream and the territory dispute in Palestine are well-known cases. We can easily find them in media. We, Koreans, seem that we live in peace, we still have the possibility of breaking war between South and North. Even at this moment there are many peoples who are afraid of unpredictable wars come with all the pain and damages.

In that sense, I realized that our common daily lives would be special for someone who always lives in hazards of wars. I consider that everyone on this earth must have their rights to lead a happy life as other people have. Therefore, to accomplish peace is the most basic need for human being amongst all the matters. Many people who work for peace are just around us. Today, I would like to introduce a man who is Korean works for world peace.

Among those who work for peace, Mr. Manhee Lee is the one I’d like to tell you. He is a peace advocate who takes an active part in international area for world peace. He has given many speeches every time he visits other countries like Europe, Southeast Asia and so on. He especially gives a speech on the importance of accomplishing peace.

Two of his representative activities are visiting Ethiopia to comfort the Korean War veteran, and the peace walking movements to aim at youth people in the world. He enthusiastically keeps contacting with the leaders from various organizations and tries to actualize the methods to fulfill the world peace. He takes signatures from leaders for agreement of world peace.

There is a lot of organizations aim for world peace. However, we still have no answer how we can actually drag the result out of it.

In Korea also, Mr. Manhee Lee and the others work for peace. It simply isn’t seemed that big what they are doing. They are those who don’t pursue their own happiness but work for spreading the idea of the importance and the value of peace. I hope this earth would be filled with joys and pleasure with peace by many people participate peace movements. Therefore, our ‘global village’ would become ‘peace global village’ soon. 

The Good News (Peace Agreement) in Mindanao, Philippines

Here's the world that can communicate with people from the all over the world through the internet, even not their own countries.

Compare with the old times, it gets better and better.

But we sometimes hear very bad news from the other countries, too...actually it is more than the good news...

Everyone wants world peace and lives happily and I am also one of them who want live gladly.

Everyone wants to live happily but the real is not ...

why somebody lives in splendor (wealth and honor) and why some don't.. even they are in pain and suffering and it made them think about the reason of living...

 

But I heard some great news from my neighbors who live in Philippines.

There is an island which was in trouble with religious fight , but the war was ended and they made a peace agreement.

 

More amazing thing is the key person of the peace agreement is Korean Manhee Lee. and after that I searched lots of news that he did already many things , that was really surprising! His dedication to previous world peace's work was admirable!

It is not about private purpose and he has been U.S, Europe, East south Asia, Africa, South America and so on...to make world peace! his movement just doesn't stop his walk of peace life. his age is over 80 but very respectful, drastic.

He is really enough appropriate to have that title.

 

I vaguely thought there would be world peace . everyone can be happy people indeed? but I have hope since I leanred Mr Manhee Lee's walk of life, and want to join him! if everyone share this way, that will be coming soon!

Peace advocate, Manhee Lee, dedication to previous world peace's work was admirable

Manhee Lee peace advocate, Autonomous Volunteer only for country and the public.

"Like the sky, light, rain and the air, we should love each other and end the war, make the world peace"

As live through life's ordeal, he had uncommon thinking of 'volunteer.

"If the sky doesn't give us light and rain, we can not live, even the plants do, neither. so, like the steadfast love from sky (the God), we love together and co operate to go to the way live all together"

Peace advocate Man Hee Lee who made a remembrance speech during the event hosted for embassy of the Azerbaijani Republic .
"it's too heartbroken story. it's such as conflict between good and evil.
We, Korea, also had same sad history and sacrifice from the war...like you.
He's a veteran of the Korean War. and Man Hee Lee took part in a war several times as a Korean army.
"I have had and seen terrible, horroble and cruel things through the time under the rule of Japanese imperialism , and I have experienced the tragedy of fratricidal war, and there were innocent death about 100 youth"
He bemoaned and that made him to work more about volunteer for everyone's peace.


"Fighters for national independence who sacrificed their lives for independence of Korea sacrificed themselves not getting a slight salary, never wanting any prize".
Mr. Lee also emphasizes that the true volunteer work is an unconditional service for only a country and nation.

The unification of the Korean peninsula is the key to world peace.

"The tragedy has not finished yet. We didn't gain glorious restoration for the unification is not still done.
We should unite our country if we truly love people and a nation".
Mr. Lee made a declaration stone of native country's unification with this belief.

He set up it on an unification observatory in Gosung and Imjingak, the east and the west of Korea where northern land is seen.
"A declaration stone of native country's unification contains wishes that two representives of North and South Korea resume peace conversation for unification, not only people of north and south korea's meeting but also hope for freedom of religion, world peace".
He tried to find the way to the world peace through the unification of South and North korea.

Mr.Lee met a former prime minister of East Germany who led Germany to unification and talked with him during making a tour of Europe last May.
"The unification of Korea is important for accomplishing world peace and religion integration". Mr.Lee had a deep  conversation with him about the unification of Korea.

The president of South Africa noticed first that the light of the world peace is spreading out in Africa by Peace advocate Manhee Lee. president of Ethiopia invited Peace advocate Manhee Lee to  the residential of president, Adisababa in the capital of Ethiopia.
Peace advocate asked to help the unification of korea. president of Ethiopia said that "I think if we really become one to be united, we can make peace.
by doing so when we gather all together to become one, didn't the peace make?
He promised to cooperate with Peace advocate Manhee Lee.
Then they had deep conversation about what worlds' leaders work and effort are for making world peace in real.

The chairman Manhee Lee has talked with the President of South Africa.
As he had a talk with the President of Ethiopia, he said "if the war is broken out  , the youth surely will fight and finally die .
How can we give compensation for their death? If you really love your nation and your people , I hope you can sign on the peace agreement for ending war and world peace."
After listening to Manhee Lee 's suggestion, the President was moved by Manhee Lee's passion for world peace , "I deeply appreciate you for your visiting to our country and your working, and I really want to join with you and your working for peace by interchanging between us continually " replied he . Even though everyone, young and old ,man and woman ,has been eager for peace , the detail way to solve the problem that is the ending war and foundation of peace still remains unsolved task today. But "we find out Manhee Lee ,peace advocate, has the only solution to come true a true peace into the world this era and he is an essential person for the world " agreed the Presidents of Africa.

Por este acuerdo, el gobierno reconoce el derecho de la autoridad del islam en la isla de Mindanao, el Frente Moro de Liberación Islámica se convirtió en catalizador decisivo para acordar el último sub-documento de acuerdo de paz para desarmar gradualmente, puso fin al conflicto de 40 años con él.
El acuerdo en Mindanao nunca ha sido detenido el conflicto durante 40 años, que no es fácil, incluso a la presidencia de Filipinas.
Presidente de la organización privada hizo una cosa tan maravillosa, y hace sorprendió mundo Presidente Lee es un "coreano".
Creo que el presidente sabe el dolor y la tristeza de la guerra mucho más que otros para un soldado en la guerra de Corea.

es por eso que él está luchando por la paz mundial.
Todo el mundo puede decir la paz fácilmente.
Sin embargo, no es fácil de trabajar por la paz.
Además, que trabaja no sólo para la paz en su nación, sino para la paz mundial quizás defensor de la paz Manhee Lee es la primera.

Estoy seguro que este gran paso el que hizo se convertirá en un modelo para todo el mundo.
Espero que no haya más personas que sufren de guerra con este tipo de cosas maravillosas. Tengo muchas ganas de darle un aplauso a lo que hizo como una misma coreano.

2014, The year of Korea people took an active part in the international arena , Mindanao, Philippines and Sochi winter Olympics !!

I had lots of thinking that it can be attracted public and let the people know my country, Korea through one person when I watched the Sochi Olympics Yuna Kim's stage.
Last month, great thing happened in Mindanao, Philippines.
And suddenly some articles about a peace agreement in Mindanao, Philippines crossed my mind.
A Korean peace advocate led the end of more than 40 years of religious conflict (Islam and Catholic) in Mindanao, Philippines. it isn't just saying , they really signed on the peace agreement. as you know there are still tons of disputes all over the world. especially the countries which are pretty poor...and probably they need more about peaceful movement not useless fight...
so this peace agreement will work a lot I guess and hope!
Philippines and the world is paying attention on this news.

During January and Febuary, Koreans were sparkling in the world definitely!

Anyway the reason of conflict in Mindanao was religion...
85% of Philippines people are Catholic and 5% of the people are Islam. among them, 5% Islamic live in Mindanao.
While U.S ruled Philippines, lots of Christians moved to Mindanao, the Islam native people expelled from Mindanao island...so it caused every terrible situation such casualties  until now in Mindanao.

Islam military rejected to attack Malaysia that is Islam Country when they were committed to a territorial  dispute between Philippines and Malaysia .So, they were executed by government of Philippines . That is why the conflict begins between them.
Although the government of Philippines have tried peace agreement many times ,they have had armed  dispute insisting on foundation of independence nation .
It was said that more people than 120,000 were sacrificed due to this conflict. Nevertheless President ,many peace activists and many people have tried to end the conflict ,it is said that they couldn't stop the conflict of Mindanao ,Philippines for 40years . Peace advocate ,Man Hee Lee was invited many times by an archbishop of Mindanao, Philippines. It is said that Man Hee Lee has done peace movement not by only his will ,but by appointed task from Heaven. Surprisingly ,he has accomplished a peace agreement for only a day between them.
What a amazing work!
It was really impressive to hear that peace advocate ,Man Hee Lee who was working by mission from Heaven played an important role in the matter that has fought for 40 years and accomplished a good work for a peace agreement .Peace activist ,Man Hee Lee concerned about real world peace even though it was a matter of foreign country.
He is a real peace activist. leader of PEACE!

A pleasant new article, peace advocate Manhee Lee - Peace in Mindanao appeard in the 40 years.

I am so proud of that I am Korean because of ONE Korean person made an end of
Philippines's religious conflict lasted for 40years.. it touched my heart so I put this happy news here^^
I was curious about the Mindanao, so I searched that its size is about our country's big..  ...and originally lived Islam, Islamic native people there, but since the U.S ruled this area, Philippines Catholic (christian) people moved to Mindanao , so the native Islam people was outed from Mindanao...this is the first reason for their Catholic - Islamic conflict.. it started from the year 1968. independance struggles..

Once Philippines and Malaysia had territorial dispute, then Philippines' Islam military was put into the conflict but the Islam military couldn't attack because of the Malaysia is an Islamic country..and they were excuted because of they didn't attack the Malaysia , all of these stories caused conflict between them... Philippines government tried to make a peace agreement many times, but the Islamic people desperately opposed and they just had an armed struggle . through this terrible history, almost 120,000 people died , sacrificed... I feel really sorry about that, and maybe lots of people out there the feel the same... but we, young generation, don't know about the real horror... so when I heard the peace agreement in Mindanao, it was great news!! it is good enough news for a peace agreement , world peace , no war..!

 After reading the article, there was a person who is sent from the God to achieve the cessation between Catholic and Islam's repeated conflict in the island. Furthermore, I was surprised that he is a Korean.

I watched the main character's endeavor to occupy a certain area without a battle in the television drama 'Subaekhyang‘. And I thought that the best way to obtain the peace agreement from the two opposite sides without an armed conflict because there weren't any political scapegoats.

In the soap opera, it seemed to be so hard to occupy the section without the conflict and the one who had succeeded the difficult job went to the enemy at considerable risk to his own life. So, I think that the Peace Advocate who achieved the great peace agreement really wants the peace. Although Mindanao is very hazardous area he was willing to be there and became a substantive role in deriving the Peace Agreement.

After the Peace Walk, peace activist, Mr. Lee gathered at a conference room of General Santos with those who joined.
Following the Representative Catholic Fernando Capela, Cardinal Dabaogen, Islamic Representative Ismael,
and the Mayor of Mindanao Islamic autonomous district

Peace advocate (activist) Mr. Lee addressed the subject of peace and conflict of Mindanao Island. The attendants gave a big hand to Mr. Lee who spoke of the possibility of actual peace.
The two parties of representatives signed the contract of peace and end of war.
This historic peace pact ended with peace.

This peace contract(agreement) works to change the world from one of death to one of life.
Last Jan 25, held in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia
Mr. Lee created a starting point to end the regional conflict.
The fact that the peace pact bringing an end to the conflict, was made not by the government of Philippines, but by another country’s peace activist has garnered a lot of attention.
Korean peace activist, Mr. Lee, has come back the Philippines.

Without him in the Mindanao area, the Philippines might still be screaming for peace, but doing so in vain.
To permanently bring peace into this area for everyone there and for those around the world
we hope that activists everywhere standup to become a bridge of peace spanning the globe.

What did Peace Leader Manhee Lee who is a chairman accomplish for peace agreement of Mindanao ,Philippines ?

Do you know about Mindanao of Philippines:It was a small island where originally Philippines Islamite were living.

During the USA ruled the Philippines, lots of people who believed in Catholics moved into the island ,with its result, the Islams who had lived forced to move the remote area.

Due to this event ,the conflict between Islamites and Christians have been for 40years . Now there are 170,000 victims

So, when the people think about Mindanao , it is thought not a beautiful Island but a horrible area where two religion organizations have been fighting .Peace leader, Manhee Lee and a peace mission visited to Mindanao of Philippines and held peace walking with about 1000 religion leaders and local youth group beyond religion and sects

And that day the peace agreement ceremony in a conference room of a hotel located in downtown General Santos, far-south of Philippines, attended both the representative of Catholic, Ferando Capella former archbishop and the representative of Islam, Esmael governorof Maguindanao which is Islamic autonomous district in Mindanao.

By this agreement, the government admits the right of authority of islam in the island of Mindanao, Moro Islamic Liberation Front became decisive catalyst to agree the last sub-document of agreement of peace to disarm gradually, finally put an end to the conflict for 40 years with it.

The agreement in Mindanao never has been stopped the conflict for 40 years, which is not easy even for president of Philippines.

Chairman of private organization did such a wonderful thing, and it makes world surprised Chairman Lee is a "Korean".

I think that chairman knows sorrow and sadness of war much more than others for a soldier in korean war. that's why he is struggling for world peace.

Everyone can say peace easily.

However, it is not easy to work for peace.

In addition, who works not only for peace in their nation but for world peace perhaps chairman Manhee Lee is the first one.

I'm sure this huge stride which he made will become a model for all over the world.

I hope that there is no more people suffering from war with this kind of wonderful thing. I really want to give applause to what he did as a same Korean.

I mean not 'world peace', the letter or word of 'p e a c e'
As you know, we think peace is really good thing and give us relaxed feeling..
but that's all? if there's only the word 'peace', it would be useless...
What is real peace?
How can we put peace into practice?
If you have peaceful thing only in your mind , it would not happen in real..

and what if there are some great people who work for world peace practically!
You should follow their attitude for everyone's peace :)


How about peace advocate Man Hee Lee?
He is just normal korean person but he works for real world peace  internationally and impassionedly. he sends relief supplies to poor countries which are in east asia and also look after the children of those countries and give them very hopeful messages... it is meaningful action for real peace, and it works ! the reason why Mr. Man Hee Lee made real peace in Mindanao, Philippines recently... it was amazing that the person who did this great job is just normal Korean person, not  philippines or famous personage..

Peace is not huge thing to do something, it's just started from your small hands., and do have same thingking of some people who bring real peace into our lives...
